FujiFilm XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro Lens

Giving you an all-around flexibility, the Fujinon XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro Lens is the right thing for a wide variety of photography applications from images to 0.5x maximum magnification macros. It features an all-glass 1 aspherical element and 1 abnormal dispersion element, and is refined to precision and cured with Super EBC coating. The precision-machined and high-quality metal barrel 1/3-step bright aperture ring gives adaptable control complimenting the DC coreless motor. It has an excellent out-of-focus bokeh, carefully made to the outline of the molded aperture diaphragm blades and the 60 mm focal length of its body. Its blades are arched to create a circular image at all aperture settings, while the very edges of each blade are accurately rounded off rather than being cut off, which gives a sharper image. Specifically designed to maximise the mirror less design of the X-Pro1's body, the Fujifilm X-Mount has a small flange back space of just 17.7mm providing high resolution right thru the image.

Maximum magnification
The lens delivers the maximum magnification of 0.5x for macro photography, at the minimum working distance of 26.7cm.

Bright aperture
Despite its compact size, this mid telephoto lens has a bright aperture of f/2.4. It has an ED (extra-low dispersion) glass lens at the 6th element meant to contain chromatic aberration, and uses a glass molded aspheric lens at the 7th element meant to prevent field curvature. With its high-definition description and beautiful blur, the lens is ideal for portraiture.

Spherical 90mm-equivalant macro lens with superior optical performance
This lightweight all-metal lens focuses super-close, has no visible distortion, has no lateral color fringes, is super-sharp right out to the edges at f/2.4, has superb bokeh, and has no visible light falloff even at f/2.4. Aside from those excellent features, it also focuses so close that a subject about an inch tall or 31 x 47mm fills your screen.

Build and Handling
The XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro lens is finished in black. Compared to the other lenses in the series, it is heavier and longer. Well-built with high-quality aluminium-alloy barrel which makes this XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro lens a quality feel and look. The aperture ring is precision-machined and is adjustable in 1/3V increments to a minimum aperture of f/22.

Weighing in at only 215g, the combination of high quality plastic and metal gives this lens a confident-boosting robust feel. Even though the XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro lens is the largest of the 3 lenses released at the same time as the X-Pro1, it is still well-balanced on the camera.

User friendly focus
Perfect to use with graduated filters and polarising since the 39mm filter thread doesn't rotate. When focusing, the lens extends inside the bayonet around the front of the lens where a large circular hood is attached. Fine adjustments are easily done with the well damped wide focusing ring.

Versatile in many ways
For selecting the desired aperture, this XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro lens has a manual aperture ring meant to compliment the retro style of the X-Pro1. It has each full stop marked with a click stop for each intermediate 1/3 stop setting, and an "A" setting if you prefer an automatic operation. To make quick adjustments, you only need to gently touch the aperture ring to move through the aperture range. Take care when changing lenses since the aperture ring is moved easily.
