The Fujifilm XF 18mm F2 R is a lens that has a pancake-style design. On Fujifilm's X-series interchangeable lens cameras, it has an equivalent focal length of 27mm, a Fujifilm X mount lens and has F2.0 - F16 Aperture. Being one of the three prime lenses announced at the system's launch, the XF 18mm contains a physical aperture ring which works in 1/3 steps. The optical construction contains 8 elements in 7 groups, containing two aspherical elements. It presents a 7-bladed aperture diaphragm with rounded blades for beautiful out of focus regions. With a total of 56mm focal length, you will never fail to get vibrant shots. Polarisation
Perfect for use with graduated filters and polarising since the 52mm filter thread doesn't rotate, and that the lens only extends by a few millimeters at the closest focus. A rectangular hood can be attached to the bayonet around the front of the lens with enough space inside for one filter. Adjusments are easy to apply due to the narrow focusing being well damped.

Manual aperture ring
The Fujifilm XF 18mm F2 R lens has a manual aperture ring to compliment the retro styling of the X-Pro1. Each full stop is marked in this aperture ring, with click stops for each intermediate 1/3 stop setting, and an "A" setting if you prefer an automatic operation. To make quick adjustments, you only need to gently touch the aperture ring to move through the aperture range. Take care when changing lenses since the aperture ring is moved easily.

Real time is the best time
The lens focus quickly in good light and at normal distances. To get in close to your subject, it is ideal to get a minimum focus distance of only 18cm, for shooting in confined environments or to exploit the distortions that a wide angle lens can produce.

Sharpness
Good sharpness in the center part of the image area and even on the edges.
