In this new instalment of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro, the Version 2, includes improved features we loved from its predecessor, the Phantom 4 Pro. Part of the significant improvements in this model features on-controller live-view streaming and enhanced connectivity. It is equipped with a 1-inch 20-megapixel sensor capable of shooting 4K/60fps video and Burst Mode stills at 14 fps. The FlightAutonomy system includes dual rear vision sensors and infrared sensing systems for a total of 5 directions of obstacle sensing and 4 directions of obstacle avoidance.


Product Features in Detail


1-Inch 20-Megapixel CMOS

The larger sensor captures more information in every pixel. The 1-inch 20-megapixel CMOS sensor in the Phantom 4 Pro V.20 is almost four times the size of the Phantom 4’s 1/2.3in sensor. The censor uses larger pizels and has a maximum ISO of 12800 as well as increased contrast. 


Production Optimized 4K

The drone shoots at an optimized DCI 4K/60 (4096x2160/60fps) at a bitrate of 100Mbps enables you to get high-resolution slow motion shots with its enhanced video processing system. It’s H.265 bitrate doubles the amount of the image processing as H.264 for a more enhanced image quality.


From Electrict to Mechanical Shutter

The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is the first DJI Phantom to use a mechanical shutter and a large-aperture prime lens. Its mechanical shutter has a max speed of 1/2000s. Compared to the previous DJI Phantom models that uses electronic shutter, the Version 2.0, eliminates rolling shutter distortion which can occur when taking images of fast moving subjects or when you’re flying at high speed. The Burst Mode shoot is capable of shooting 14 fps at 20 megamixels that’s perfect for capturing any amazing moment you desire.


5-Direction of Obstacle Sensing

The FlightAutonomy includes dual rear-vision sensors of infrared sensing for a total of 5 directions of obstacle sensing and 4 directions of obstacle avoidance. This means that your Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is protected obstacles especially when shooting outdoors.


6-Camera Navigation System

The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is capable of hovering accurately in places without GPS in different shooting circumstances such as taking off indoors or on balconies, or when you fly through windows with minimal pilot control. When using the Narrow Sensing Mode, the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 narrows its sensing scope so it could see in more detail and fly through small spaces.


FlightAutonomy

The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0’s FlightAutonomy is an advanced aerial intelligence and flight automation platform. It includes seven cameras, an infrared sensing system, dual-band satellite positioning (GPS nad GLONASS), two downward facing ultrasonic rangefinders, redundant IMUs and compasses.


Infrared Sensing System

The first of its kind in DJI, the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is the first DJI aircraft to use an infrared sensing system. It is placed on the left and right sides of the aircraft which helps in measuring the distance between the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 and any obstacles using infrared 3D scanning.


OcuSync Video Transmission System

The Phantom 4 Pro V.20 uses Ocusync Transmission Tech for high-resolution and low-latency digital video transmission and improves the flight experience by reducing propeller noise by up to 60%.


First-Person-Viewing with DJI Goggles
The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is wirelessly connected to DJI Goggles with displays high-quality 1080p live camera view with an 85° FOV. You can connect them via OcuSync, you can experience fast and clear first-person-view flight with incredible low latency.


Fly Longer Than Before with Intelligent Batteries

The Version 2.0 has a maximum flight time of 30 minutes providing you more time in the air to capture the best of the best shots you could imagine. The DJI Go 4 app will show you you battery lifetime and calculate the remaining flight times according to the distance traveled. The advanced battery management system is in place to prevent overcharging and over draining.


Draw A Route

All you need to do is draw a route on screen and your Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 will move in the direction you wanted it to go while keeping its altitude locked. There are two modes for this brand new technology: Forward and Free.


Follow The Yellow Brick Road

With its advanced systems, the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 automatically recognises your subjects, follows and captures them as they move along. If you’re shooting fast-paced subjects such as athletes, this is your ace.


Fine Gestures

You can definitely take selfies using Gesture Mode. Just learn the few gestures needed to take a shot without the remote controller. One of the basics is lifting your arms when facing the camera and the aircraft will recognise this movement by locking on and placing you in the center of the frame. Once you’re ready to take that perfect selfie, hold your arm out to signal the aircraft. After the three second countdown, strike a pose.


TapFly

Everything is possible now with a tap. It’s the same with the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. It will fly in any direction visible on-screen with a simple tap.


Back Home with ReturnToHome

The aircraft proves how smart and capable it is by automatically choosing the best route to return home depending on environmental conditions. It can adjust its flight path to avoid obstacles it has seen during its flight.
