Lighter and Smaller

The RF 70-200mm f2.8 L IS USM lens is designed to achieve the much anticipated 70-200mm zoom range in just 146mm (it's shortest length to date). This makes it approximately 27% shorter and 28% lighter compared to its EF equivalent.

Constant f/2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range

The lens takes full advantage of the Canon RF mount's wide diameter and short back focus to achieve a constant aperture value of f/2.8.

Two Nano USMs

Staying discreet and in control is not a problem with its rapid focusing from two high performance Nano USM motors. This is your guarantee that the lens locks onto your subject, so you'll never have to miss a moment. 

With Optical Image Stabilization

Minimize the appearance of shake in your shots with the 5 stop Image Stabilizer with Dual Sensing IS for stills and Combination IS for videos. The IS mode swith on the lens also lets you select the best mode for your shooting needs. IS mode 1 is best for still subjects, IS mode 2 is used for panning, and IS mode 3 is ideal for irregular movement. 

Water and Dust Resistantance

Water and dust resistant construction is adopted and sealing is applied to the joining sections and switch panels. This is done to prevent dust and water from entering the inside of the lens. The fluorine coating on the front surface and rear elements makes sure that oil and water is easily repelled, and can be easily wiped off using a dry cloth, without the need for a solvent.
