The NTH-100 drivers feature a custom voice coil with a four-layer ultra-high-tension aluminium alloy at its core, which is coupled to an ultra-stiff triple-layer Mylar® diaphragm. Combined with a rare-earth neodymium magnet and innovative phase plug inspired by the award-winning NTG5 microphone, these high-grade components ensure an accurate frequency and phase response across the whole audible spectrum for an incredibly articulate listening experience.

The NTG5
The NTG5 is a short, ultra-lightweight shotgun microphone ideal for use in the most demanding recording applications. Featuring a revolutionary acoustic design with circular ports replacing the linear slots found in other shotgun mics, it offers unmatched transparency and a more natural, uncoloured sound. Combined with a tightly controlled frequency response, smooth off-axis response, and very low self-noise (just 10dBA), the NTG5 sounds spectacular in a wide variety of applications, particularly location recording and demanding filmmaking scenarios where superlative audio is the imperative. No excuses.

Reliable Performance
The NTG5 is a boom operator’s dream, weighing a mere 76g and measuring just over 20cm, making it ideal for use on long, demanding shoots. It features RF-bias circuitry to ensure reliable performance in adverse environments, with excellent resistance to high humidity, severe cold, damp, and dust. And it comes with a WS10 deluxe windshield, PG2-R pistol grip, and other accessories – the perfect location recording kit.

Windshield and shock mounting accessory
The RØDE Blimp is a complete windshield and shock mounting accessory for the NTG1, NTG2 and NTG3 microphones, as well as any third party shotgun microphone up to 325mm (12 ¾”) in length.

Rycote® Lyre suspension system
Now featuring the Rycote® Lyre suspension system, the Blimp provides the ultimate in microphone suspension and isolation.

Hard-wearing thermoplastic
Constructed from a single piece of hard-wearing thermoplastic, the Lyre provides superior acoustic suspension to traditional elastic solutions, and will never wear out, sag or snap. The Blimp’s handle has also been completely redesigned, reducing the product weight significantly, while increasing the ergonomics for handheld use.

Heavy-duty Mogami cable
Housed inside the grip is a heavy-duty Mogami cable which splits via a junction box to a highly-flexible thin cable inside the Blimp, to minimise the transference of vibration to the microphone.

25% lighter
With the lightweight design of the handle and suspension system the new Blimp design is over 25% lighter (550gm without microphone or DeadWombat fitted). The Blimp attaches to any standard boompole via 3/8" thread attachment at the base.

Universal Blimp Mount
The Universal Blimp Mount is available as an option to remove the handle when the Blimp is being used primarily on a boompole to reduce weight. The Dead Wombat windshield, caring brush and tail/patch cable are included.

Designed to complement
The BoomPole is designed to complement the extensive range of Video, Broadcast and Electronic News Gathering (ENG) microphones and accessories.

High-strength black anodized Aluminium
Made from lightweight high-strength black anodized Aluminium, the BoomPole’s telescopic sections allow infinite adjustment from 0.84m (33”) to 3.28m (10’ 9 1/8”) on the standard BoomPole or 0.84m (33”) to 2.05m (81”) on the Mini BoomPole. The quick release friction rings enable fast and secure adjustment of the individual tubes for precise positioning and application flexibility.

Enhances user grip and aid mobility
To enhance user grip and aid mobility the bottom section of the BoomPole is covered with an expanded foam rubber tube that can be easily removed or replaced. The BoomPole comes supplied with an industry standard 3/8” x 16 tpi threaded insert allowing a wide selection of accessories to be securely attached. When used in conjunction with the 5/8” to 3/8” thread adaptor the full range of accessories can be interchanged at will.
