Move the flash head around
The bounce capability of the SB-700 allows it to be rotated horizontally to up to 180° to the left and to the right with click stops at 0°, 30°, 60°, 75°, 90°, 120°, 150°, and 180°. Likewise, the flash head itself can be tilted from 7° to 90° with stops at -7°, 0°C, 45°, 60°, 75°, and 90°.

Precise i-TTL flash control
With the Intelligent-Through-The-Lens flash control, you can deliver accurate flash exposures and flawless fill-flash despite challenging lighting conditions. Before the main flash is activated, a series of monitor pre-flashes are fired to convey information about the lighting settings. The Speedlight's output and its ambient light is then balanced by i-TTL.

Wireless Commander mode
By using compatible Speedlights, you can control up to two remote Speedlight groups and limitless Speedlights. When the SB-700 is used remotely, up to three groups and four wireless channel options can be selected to avoid conflicts.

Put might to the light
With its versatile auto power zoom, lenses from 24 to 120 mm in FX format are provided with reliable light from this flash. The SB-700 is also capable of three light distribution patters for more dramatic images: Standard, Center-weighted which works best for portaits, and Even which is ample for group shots. This flash head also detects temperature increase to prevent overheating and color compensation filter to provide the right amount of white balance in every shot.
