Panasonic Unveils the HC-V800, the HC-VX1, and the HC-VXF1 Video Cameras
Panasonic has unveileded new camcorders that will cater to hobbyists and professional videographers alike. These 4K Ultra HD and Full HD models deliver excellent low-light performance thanks to the combination of a large back-illuminated MOS sensor and a high performance LEICA lens that boasts of a bright F1.8 aperture and 24x optical zoom. When shooting in 4K, low-light performance is improved by around 70% compared to the previous Panasonic 4K models.
Likewise, the LEICA lens can handle 25mm wide angle to 600mm telephoto views. The stunning wide-angle capability makes it easy to fit large groups into the frame, and is also convenient for recording selfies with the rotatable LCD. Meanwhile, the high zoom is powered by a 4-Drive lens system that moves the four lens groups independently.
The sensor ensures that the videos remain vivid while the zoom works with the Optical Image Stabilisation system to provide a versatile and shake-free performance. You can choose between the Ball O.I.S that reduces wear on the drive section or the Adaptive O.I.S to optimize according to shooting positions. This provides clear and steady framing even if your hand shakes while capturing the night sky, a wide angle shot, or a close-up. If the video seems to be tilted on one side, the Level Shot function can correct it.
With design and durability in mind, the lens barrel is housed in a circular chassis while its body sports a stylish textured look. As the more advanced model among the new video cameras, the HC-VXF1 features a manual ring at the front of the body for precise focusing and a tiltable viewfinder for accurate framing. Meanwhile, the HC-V800 is capable of Full HD 1920 x 1080p recording.
On the other hand, both the HC-VX1 and the HC-VXF1 are capable of 4K Video, 4K Cropping and 4K Photo modes. 4K Cropping allows the user to edit in-camera after shooting by selecting the best angles to achieve smooth panning and zooming while maintaining its detail.
