New Nikon COOLPIX cameras announced

In the build-up to PMA 2007* Nikon have announced a new line-up of their very popular COOLPIX compact digital camera range.

Nikon COOLPIX P5000:
- 10 megapixel resolution
- 3.5x stabilised optical zoom (36-126mm equiv.)
- 2.5-inch (6.4cm) LCD screen

Nikon COOLPIX S200:
- 7.1 megapixel resolution
- 3x stabilised optical zoom (38-114mm equiv.)
- 2.5-inch (5.2cm) LCD screen
- Slimline body

Nikon COOLPIX S50 / COOLPIX S50c:
- 7.1 megapixel resolution
- 3x stabilised optical zoom (38-114mm equiv.)
- 3-inch (7.6cm) LCD screen
- Slimline body
- S50c includes wi-fi connectivity

Nikon COOLPIX S500:
- 7.1 megapixel resolution
- 3x stabilised optical zoom (35-105mm equiv.)
- 2.5-inch (6.4cm) LCD screen
- Available in black or silver finish

Nikon COOLPIX L10 / COOLPIX L11:
- 5.0 megapixel / 6.0 megapixel resolutions
- 3x optical zoom (37.5-112.5mm equiv.)
- 2.0-inch (5.2cm) / 2.5-inch (6.4cm) LCD screen

Nikon COOLPIX L12:
- 7.1 megapixel resolution
- 3x stabilised optical zoom (35-105mm equiv.)
- 2.5-inch (6.4cm) LCD screen

* PMA is the Photo Marketing Association. The PMA hold bi-annual conferences, the next of which is in Las Vegas from March 8th to 11th, which are commonly used by manufacturers as the launch-pads for new products. There will be a lot of new digital camera announcements made over the next week or so.
