Avoid the rush, get in early, with our Xmas lay by option
Christmas is fast approaching and we're already starting to see sales of digital cameras picking up as a result. Whether you're after a $3000 digital SLR camera or a simple point and shoot, ensuring that you get what you want and get it in time this Xmas is going to be your main challenge. It's an unfortunate fact that some people will be left disappointed and without a camera, particularly if you're looking for one of this year's top sellers, or one of our fantastic Xmas bundles (available very soon).
We know that for many people, the thought of buying your pressies in October is crazy. Where can you hide them for that long, for starters? So we decided to help out by offering a Xmas lay-by option to our customers.
How does it work?
It's very easy and you start by placing your order as normal (we never take payment until the goods ship, anyway). In the special delivery instructions section of the checkout, just tell us when you'd like to receive the goods...though unfortunately, we're not insured to deliver them down your chimney on Christmas eve and we'd advise not leaving it until the very last minute, anyway! We can normally guarantee delivery within a 48-hour window, but it's going to be busy at that time, so please take this into account.
Once the goods arrive in our store we'll take a small, non-refundable deposit of 15% of the overall value of the order to secure them against your order. If you choose to pay using BPAY, EFT or cheque, we'll contact you and ask you to make this payment at that stage. If you'd prefer to pay the full balance, that's fine too.
When the time comes to ship your goods, we'll take the balance of payment, including any price changes that happen between now and when the goods ship, so there's really no reason not to join our other lay-by customers and relax this Christmas! Again, for alternative payment methods, we'll contact you a couple of days beforehand and ask you to BPAY or EFT the payment, or send the cheque.
NOTE: Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that we source your goods in time for Xmas, we cannot guarantee availability. Our best advice is to place your order as soon as possible to give us the maximum possible time to source the goods. You will be kept informed at all times as to the status of your order.
Also, consistent with our standard policy, no goods will be shipped until the balance of the order has been paid. If you choose to pay by BPAY, EFT or cheque, please ensure that payment is made in good time to allow clearance and delivery.
