Hoya 52mm 81A Filter Light Balancing Filter

Made to have uniform color, the Hoya 52mm 81A Filter Light Balancing Filtercorrects 3400K light for Tungsten B Film to boost image clarity and sharpness. Its +18 Mired Shift Value create a warm cast over an entire image.  In effect, it reduces the bluish hue as well as the undesired haze that UV light can bring to the image.  It 0.15 density with 1.4x Filter Factor darkens the entire image by 0.5 stops. This filter comes with Optical Glass Construction for clarity and color fidelity.

Correctts Bluish Tones
Corrects the tendency toward bluish tones. For example, the 81A should be selected when using tungsten Type B color film (3200°K) with photoflood lamps (3400°K). The 81A filter is also used to add just a slight amount of “warmth” to a portrait or scene with a “cool” or bluish cast.
