Review : Great lens! It is very well made, solid and sturdy. This can be a problem, however, when walking distances with the lens and when using it on cheap tripods (though it does have an adapter which works well). The speed of the lens is fantastic for sports and certain wildlife, though not great for getting up super close. I am considering getting a 2X adapter because I love this lens so much but would like a little more range. The HSM works great (I have a pentax K200D) and is as fast as the kit lens (if not faster) at focusing. It can be a little touchy when there are numerous focal points but this is a problem you would have with any lens. I definitely like this lens, but it is not a good multi-perpose lens due to its unweildy size. You cant really take this to a party (for example) without getting a few weird looks. If you want a sports lens, or a general wildlife lens - you cant go past this for value.
