The Mju 1010 features the latest in Olympus lens developments that delier a powerful 7x optical zoom lens into a slim, stylish design, similar to many 3x and 4x optical zoom cameras currently available.  The breakthrough Dual Super Aspherical lens element has been developed by Olympus, that can do the work of several conventional elements, which delivers superb imaging quality in a compact package.  With less lens elements, the camera is capable of delivering superb picture quality, with true to life contrast and superior sharpness.  So with the Mju 1010 you can rest assured that even though your camera fits snugly into your bag or pocket, through state-of-the-art optics design, there is no compromise in picture quality.  DSA lens elements are extremely thin in the centre, traditionally making them difficult to manufacture. 
 

The Mju 1010 also features the Olympus Dual Shakeproof CCD-shift image stabilisation system and high-ISO sensitivity to compensate for camera shake and subject motion that can cause blurring, particularly on high-power telephoto shots. With this dual protection, you can eliminate blurry shots even when shooting in low light or when photographing active subjects such as children and pets.
