The WT-4 high-performance wireless transmitter offers diversified image transfer capabilities when connected to the Nikon D3 or D300 digital SLR cameras via USB cable. It supports wireless LAN conforming to IEEE 802.11b/g, IEEE 802.11a standards, and wired LAN conforming to IEEE 802.3u (100BASE-TX) and IEEE 802.3 (10BASE-T).

Maximum transmission range when using wireless LAN is approx. 180 m (IEEE 802.11b/g) or 260 m (IEEE 802.11a) (subject to transmission conditions).

It also offers an effective transfer rate of 10 Mbps over a wireless LAN, as well as an effective Ethernet transfer rate of 15 Mbps.
